I first was able to apply for Medicare two years ago. Employers have always taken care of of my insurance policy so I was a little affected when I jumped into Medicare options. I wrongly imagined Medicare benefits would be distributed by a single entity: the government. Just one more topic that I had to be corrected upon online follow-up visits Sandy, UT.

I opted to go with Medicare Advantage. This allowed me to secure the comprehensive coverage I needed. It's more expensive, yes, it's necessary for people who might necessitate comprehensive coverage.

But really, if I tried to get comparable benefits by going through just Medicare, I'd have to sign up for advanced Medicare, and also find some kind of supplemental insurance policy. Obviously this would be a lot more complex and would cost around the same amount of money.

Of course, there are many other motivations that form someone's decision.Research all of them.
