Forrest Galante is synonymous with nature conservation, outdoor survival and wildlife expertise. Growing up in Harare, Zimbabwe, Forrest harvested a deep love and strong connection with nature and animals that put him on his path in life. Galante's deep love with nature continued when he moved back to California after political unrest in Zimbabwe forced his family from their safari operations.

Forrest Galante has caught crocodiles, swam with several species of sharks, photographed venomous snakes, outsmarted a charging water buffalo, dodged an angry panther and had countless other adventures. His career started out in high-risk wildlife biology fieldwork, with a focus on animals staring down extinction. His hands-on approach with wildlife, love for nature and exceptional background eventually led to the development of his own television program, 'Extinct or Alive,' on Animal Planet. The show shadows Galante on expedition as he searchers the world looking for animals believed to be extinct.
